Bike fitting has evolved considerably in recent years, particularly with the growing popularity of long-distance and ultra-endurance cycling and a better understanding of how cleat position influences comfort, stability and muscular load.

Moving the cleat further rearward under the foot can provide several advantages:

  • Improves foot stability over the pedal by reducing the effective lever arm of the forefoot.
  • Reduces the workload placed on the ankle and calf muscles, which can be particularly beneficial during long-distance riding.
  • May help reduce forefoot pressure and “hot foot” symptoms by moving the main pressure area further away from the pedal spindle.
  • Provides additional adjustment when the original cleat mounting holes in the shoe do not allow sufficient rearward positioning.

These adapter plates are designed for MTB and gravel shoes using SPD-style two-bolt cleats. They extend the available adjustment range, making it possible to achieve a substantially more rearward cleat position than the shoe alone may permit.

Compatible with most performance-oriented MTB and gravel shoes, the plates allow the cleat setback to be fine-tuned according to the rider’s individual requirements.

Their curved profile follows the shape of the sole closely and, despite the additional adjustment range, they remain practical for walking.

  • 12mm – 22mm of rearward adjustment
  • Curved steel base plate
  • TPU walkable element
  • Riser kits to accommodate different shoe types
  • Anti-rotate grub screws
